I’m putting this here as Coastal Cruisers has the widest audience. I’m hoping some hunters
and camera users. We have elk around the place and I want to see if I can find
them moving. Also the trigger is I found a frightening drug drop just down the road
from my house. It’s a pill bottle placed under a brand new brick just off the road in the
forest. Cause brand new bricks always fall off and roll into the forest.
The pill bottle was empty yesterday but I want
to put a cellular trial cam and see if I can catch them in the act and deal with that.
So what I’m asking is any experience anyone with either battery or battery/solar
but with cellular so I can run itthru my phone and get instant info.
We had a big black bear clean out the apple tree out back behind our 6’ fences.
be nice to know in real time!
I have an older Spypoint and it worked fine for a while, but it uses 8 D cells
and now they last about 7 days. Pain in the ass,
Input please?

I haven't used a camera myself, but I suspect a place like Cabelas would have good options. You might also reach out to non-profit groups which do wildlife surveys.

Thanks, I'll keep looking.
