Possibly in position to trade my 12 4Runner limited with 115k miles for a 2 owner, dealer maintained 2010 LC with 200k miles. Appears to be a highway cruiser. If I do this I will probably sell my 03 100 as well and pocket the cash from it. Am I crazy?

I should add that I have never fallen in love with the 4Runner. It’s fine but I have no attachment to it.

Damn right. 200K miles in 9 years? Goodness gracious! I'm a gas miser in comparison :flipoff2:. Straight up trade would appear to be in your favor, depending upon condition of the two respective rigs. I would do it, even if the extra size and whatnot wasn't really helpful in any way for my circumstances. It's a Cruiser!

FWIW, As someone who went from an 09 4runner slightly modified to a 2011 LX, if the mileage doesnt scare you and it's in good shape I would do it. I loved my 4runner, went up to 215k miles without anything aside from maintenance and an axle seal. The 200 series is in a different class though and I honestly wished I had made the switch sooner. The camping and offroad trips are just that much more enjoyable now along with everything else.

I went from a 2011 T4R to a 2014 200 Series with more (highway) miles. Mine wasn't a straight trade or even close to it and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Anecdotally, I suspect they've got around the same number of miles remaining before you get into major repairs and the 200 is a much better vehicle.

200K would be a deal breaker for me but I put 25-30K miles a year on my vehicles. That said, I rarely advise against someone moving up to a 200 from a 150. If the mileage doesn't bother you then don't look back.

Do it

Buy the 200 and keep the 100 since it isn't going down in value. You may regret getting rid of the 100.

I have this debate with myself on a daily basis!

I had a Brand new 2017 Limited 4Runner that I traded for a 2016 LC used with 46,000 miles, Never looked back!!!!
