Ok. So wow. nearly 2 years since I have posted. My excuse being that I have been working a lot, and couldnt get a solid run to do what I wanted to it....

But!

I now have some time off, so this project will finally be progressing again :D

So so far I have finished the tailgate, painted the roll bars/cage in a grey hammer tone finish, and repainted the panels etc. pics will give it more justice :)

So in the coming days/weeks it will be:

Paint the windscreen surround and bonnet in primer
Then the body in primer
Re paint the inside with primer
then possibly Ute liner the whole interior
on to color outside (Beige)

Then starting to put it all together, and work on the engine/wiring etc.

will try and make the updates a bit more frequent haha

Also sold Little Red, my 1981 BJ42. didn't have any time to pay attention to her while I was working, so away she went. But not before she was featured in 4WD Action magazine, so she is somewhat famous haha

but I bought a 1998 105 series Landcruiser as my Daily driver :) pretty stoked with Migaloo. 1HZ no turbo, had ~230000 when I bought her. Has been a great truck since.

Here she is helping clean up my parents place of their F-Series scrap :D

Got the interior of Toyotasaurus covered in Raptor Liner. I used 7 bottles and had to paint it on with a paint brush, since the compressor and shulz gun I had weren't up to the task. Ended up ok, but I would recommend Spraying on next time, plus I feel it needs a harder finishing coat over the top to really seal it, as I've already managed to chip a bit off easily. Otherwise it's a nice product that works well. Also painted the dash in the Grey Hammertone.

Your truck is coming along very nicely.
Where did you get the tinted raptor liner in Australia? or did you mix it yourself.
Cheers

You buy a tintable set from an Aussie supplier - I got mine from Kustom ppaints in Woombye, Queensland - and then you add what ever color you want to it.

Long time between posts haha. I won't say a hell of a lot in this post. will let the pics do most of the talking.

Primed and sprayed the exterior and panels with Beige tinted Raptor Liner. came up looking awesome I must say.
Finished the tailgate. Original factory softop tailgate hinges used, latches are from a camping store here in Australia.
Had to make a custom radiator support since the old one was really rusted and buggered. Made to suit an Aluminium radiator and thermo fan.
and the last 2 pics there are of the whole thing bolted together :)

Excellent job. Great color and roll bar. We are all still watching and cheering you on.

Need to put back some sort of screen guard ahead of that radiator , like the stock setup . Otherwise , it looks like something is missing .
Sarge

yeah there is a fine powder coated steel mesh there at the moment to protect it, but yes, eventually I will buy some of that mesh to put in there

Well it is all finished, registered and had it's Big first run. absolute beast to drive, ironed out a few gremlins, but in the end was a successful trip.

Was actually wondering what sort of interest there would be for me to sell this truck overseas? Does anyone know of any avenues to go down for this idea, or know anyone who may be interested? US conversion rate to AUS dollars is quite good ;)
