TOYOTA GAZOO Racing has announced that it will reproduce spare parts for the Land Cruiser in celebration of its 70th anniversary today, August 1. The parts will be reproduced for the 40 Series Land Cruiser, which was produced between 1960 and 1984, as part of the GR Heritage Parts Project.

Just saw this as well! Really curious as to what they decide to reproduce

Hopefully its wear and often failed parts for 80 series that are discontinued, like locker motors, long blocks, transfer cases, transmissions, window and door lock motors, window glass, headlights and buckets, window gaskets-seals, mirrors, wire harness, smog/egr parts, charcoal canister, heater valves, window switches, dash switches, power steering pumps-coolers-lines, sun visors, plastic trim. Some are still available but in very limited quantities and people are starting to hoard them.

Just looking at the ultimate discontinued parts list makes me cringe for the future of the Landcruiser's and keeping them on the road without rigging/modifying after market or other non Landcruiser parts.
