This vintage 1981 Mustard Yellow FJ43 features a stage 1 frame-off restoration and is absolutely beautiful, it is left-hand drive and gasoline-powered. It boasts a brand new replica soft top and also has a rebuilt engine, transmission, transfer case, axles, as well as all mechanicals. It has been completely rewired and includes brand new Toyota turn signals and brake lights. It also features all-new suspension, exhaust, tires, and upholstery. The FJ43 is a longer version of the FJ40, and was never offered to the United States, which makes this FJ incredibly special for a couple reasons: 1) It offers extra room in the rear with the extra long folding jump seats and a front split bench seat with seating up to 7 and 2) There are very few of these on the road in the United States, and even fewer in this condition.
If you’re looking at other Land Cruisers, keep in mind that this is left hand drive (as opposed to many right hand drive Cruisers hitting the market in the U.S., which are awful to drive as you feel completely disoriented driving from the passenger seat) and it’s the more desirable gasoline 2F motor as opposed to a diesel, which makes it harder to source parts.
