Is the balance any better with the tongue?

Oh yeah. All fixed with 15 gallons of water. I can push it around as easy as the M416 too.

20’ of 3x2 tube and a kick ass welder and a grinder bitch and this is what’s what. I’m getting a metal front piece made by @metalshaper this week.

Has anyone gone the homemade trailer route to register their old military trailer in MS? I have the forms filled out but didn’t know if i could just bring it to the tax office or had to mail it. Do they give you push back because it was technically not made at home?

Trying to get it ready and street legal to pull it to the crawl.

Similar story for me in GA. But in GA I had to take mine down to my local police precinct to get them to sign the "homemade trailer" paper. The duty officer couldn't find any meaningful VIN or S/N on it, but tried to run a stolen trailer query using a 4 or 5 digit number he found on the tongue to CYA and then signed off. Easy peasy. The DMV then gave me a new stamped VIN tag to attach to the frame and my license plate.

I did my old bantam in Ark, no issue whatsoever. They assigned me a VIN number , I had a dog Id tag engraved with the number and jb welded it to the frame. Just stick with it’s a homemade and don’t go all into telling them it’s a military trailer or something. They don’t care as long as it’s registered .

Doing some much needed pre-crawl work on the trailer. Glad I went ahead and bought new bearings, races, and seals. These looked a bit past repacking.

Yep I’ll be real glad when I’m done. The hub cap on one side is being very stubborn so soaking it in kroil.

Glad I got the big socket to get the locking and adjustment nuts off. Made it easy. Looked like whoever did it before be did not.

Need to borrow that in November!

Camping weather is here and the trailer is behind schedule so I dropped it off at the fab shop to get finished.

Swingout tailgate almost complete. Will be skinned on the inside with a flip down table.
