Top speed for 2F and 5speed? (1 Viewer)

Define "comfortable" top speed. Keep in mind the truck is leaf sprung on a 90-inch wheelbase. I have a 350 in mine pushing a reasonable 200ish horsepower. I have had it up to 90mph (on a stock 4 speed H42 transmission) but I wouldn't say it was comfortable, in the sense that I couldn't hear, and the steering was getting pretty floaty and my knuckles were a few shades lighter...

Comfortable to me is under 60mph. I don't worry about the truck mechanically on long interstate drives at 70-75ish but I prefer not to.

This is why I prefer a 4 speed, split case, 3.70s and 33s in a 40. Sweet spot with that shorty is 65 or so.

I’m going with the Dakota is a bit off. I’m pretty sure that’s the LS/auto truck he did last year.

That’s from an LS3 with nv4500, 4:11 with 33’s , ok so not an h55 but still a 5 speed
