order a pair of the tools in either of the two posts above. Cant get any more simple and self explanatory.

My adapted bedframe angle irons do a great job. First time I used them I had the local tire shop check my results and they got the same result as me so no need for complicated equipment. As @CharlieS says degrees and inches/mm will translate to the same thing but you need a reference point to begin with.

You must consider a tape measure "complicated equipment" then?

Probably should have said "additional" rather than "complicated".
