she's alive!!

Update! Finally got some time now that the holidays are done etc...

After cleaning up all the dizzy parts, new plugs, new wires...she fired up with minimal effort....a little carb cleaner and some starting fluid down the bowl vent tubes....bam...ignition

You guys are right...these motors are pretty hearty.

Loud as ****....the pipe is rusted out before the muffler....

next step....pull the tank and fuel lines...def cruddy in there and if I need to have the carb rebuilt I sure don't want all this **** coming down the line....any suggestions on having this one flushed or just buy a new poly tank?

Plenty of work to do on the cooling system as well...needs a flush + new hoses etc

If your tank is rusted up bad, you might try this company. http://www.gastankrenu.com/loc-dealer.htm I used them on my M-37 tank and it's great. Stopped the rust for good.
