I agree with ya pimpster. Keep it Classic, other wise some Toyota Avalon club will start wearing our shirts:)

IMO, shirts need to better reflect the more varied and newer Cruiser owners that are entering the organization...I know I'm working on a shirt to release in 2004 that's more representative of ALL the different models...

already started on this effort.

Look how far this thread has strung. :o Nuclearlemon bitches about the lame cruiser chick stuff >:((rightly so)-->I suggest bezel and headlight with sign--> :slap:Desertdude scolds me for being a sexist pig (oink)---> I recant my sins and suggest emblem ;)-->some post later the original idea takes off and were going to get ladies wearing headlights!!! :D :D.

Have not heard from nuculearlemon on the subject. Here's to teamwork

ya.............whatever :flipoff2: JK

But most new Cruiser owners know what the jumpin jellybean is, I think the new owners need to grasp the roots of thier 2004 1000 series, unstrading what is it and where it came from.

Heres something I noticed while looking thru some of old Cruiser lit. The US 1987-90(and prolly earier) Land Cruiser brouchres were ONE page, thats it just a sheet of colored paper. The 2003 is lke 30 pages and on the 2000 broucure, the cover shot is the interior of a 45 wagon! lots of non US stuff as well pics, even an artical my Marv Spector. So..........Toyota is pushing the 50k 100 with the strengths and history of the old Cruisers.

Screw it.......I got pretty much one of each......I don't need no stinking shirt :flipoff2: (but will buy whatever you make because I'm a nut case)

I'll probably regret writing this but...

There was a time when I really wanted to see 60 Series and 80 Series cruisers on logos and shirts. That was when it was rare to see these cruisers on the trail. I wanted everyone to know these were true "Land Cruisers" too.

Now that I'm seeing so many of these "late" model cruisers on the trail I don't worry about seeing them on logos and shirts. Now, I like seeing the older classics. The original ones that inspired the line and started the reputation. I guess when I see a late model cruiser, I still see a classic Land Cruiser. I'm amused when people don't realize what they are looking at. "Hey man whatcha expect, it's a Land Cruiser" (in other words a classic FJ40) it just looks like another dime a dozen poser SUV mall wagon. Hidden underneath the round body panels and leather seats lurks a classic 40 Series cruiser.

Somehow, it now makes sense to keep the 40s on the stickers and shirts, especially for 80 series and 60 series owners. The uneducated masses may wonder why my 80 Series has a sticker with a FJ40 (aka Toyota Jeep to them), but those in the know fully GET IT. (pun intended) :D

Good point pismo. Of course I don't drive an 80 but It makes sense.

Your all stuck in the 60's man!

(but I can see where your coming from)

lol one of my favorite SNL sketches....

the first batch will use Can't touch this.

basically, it will have Toyota on top, and Land Cruiser in the bezel.
Toyota
bezel Land Cruiser bezel

Can't touch This!

once the design is complete, we can put any caption underneath but we thought the Can't touch this balanced the bezel well.

Nice work Tony! TLCA has come along way.... When we can post opinions this fast and actually see it happening. I hope more members find this board and get involved. Perhaps a small word in the trails can inspire involvement :)

Good work :) count me in once they are to press. Sure you don't want to change it to "can't touch these" :D

New thought:

The whole cruiser widow theme. What about a cartoon pic of a guy in bed with his wife sitting up reading TT:)

OR: Just a pick of a fanatic under his cruiser on a crawler with "Cruiser Widow" underneath. To be worn by the widow of course.

Where are the prototype graphics for the headlight/bezel idea?

merry christmas

Afraid I am only good for ideas as my artisitic ability is equal to that of most 4 year olds.

I hear ya. I can build you a house or anything for that matter, I can write, record and perform music. But i can't draw for sh*t :)

The bezel t-shirt idea rocks! All of the sayings were great. Thank God you guys are talkin' about incorporating some female wear. I'd buy one of each... Hook 'em up! :)

thanks Sonya... I very much value your opinion on this subject.

especially since drohweder or desertdude would be very poor models for these new shirts.
