Yup we’re in BC.
Rubithon being last week of June was going to be a problem due to kids still being in school so they weren't planning on going. Now they are up to missing last few days for the 1000 mile road trip. So the goal posts keep changing on my plans. I would throw some armour and 35s on my bj60 and not tow if they will come do the trail, even if on foot for the 12(?) miles to top of cadillac hill. Would definitely simplify things in many ways.
if the 60 then its a 84 bj60, so h55 with 3:1 t.case. would get lockright rear. 4"ish sprung under lift. But needs sliders and rear bumper and tires at least. already has some dents but otherwise good shape.

Quick Question, Just wondering if there will be camp fires allowed and if so, are we to pack some firewood with us as I am assuming the firewood is picked clean around all the camping spots?

We won’t know about campfires until we get closer to the event. I have managed to scavenge wood or cut downed trees with an axe or saw. I propane fire pit is an option depending on fire restrictions.

I always get a CA fire permit if burning a campfire and/or running a propane stove/fire pit. That is a CA requirement, its free and online, get it, print it, stick it in your kitchen box. At Rubicon Springs ( Private Property ) they ask that the disbursed camp sites come to the main fire at the cabin ( main area) to avoid MANY fires all over, this has been the drill for the last few years at events. This goes even when El Dorado & Tahoe Forests havent issued restructions. Although I believe Tahoe Forest is a NO GO year round, El Dorado has NOT issued restrictions so you can have fires if camping say at Buck or other spots, providied you have the CA permit. I bring a propane fire pit that goes 3 solid nites off a large tank, maybe 4 nites. No need to pack wood unless you want a bundle for fire in the event you are broke or camping along trail, not a horrible idea if you have room and dont want to scrounge around last minute. Thats when the propane ire pit really comes in handy. Check El Dorado site as it may change any day.

All loaded up and ready for the three day trip to the trail head, one more sleep and I’m on my way!

Can anyone share the chirp file?
I can share the chirp file but I have noticed that it is specific to the model radio. However you can copy and paste the frequencies and names into a fresh file for your model radio.

Had an awesome time, thanks Doug for leading the run, and thanks Michael, Dom, Donny, and Conner for the guiding on the tricky obstacles.
