Hello all,
Me and my buddy cheyenne trucker, have been planning this trip for about 20 years. We have both been building, changing, fixing and driving our fj40's all this time. Cheyenne Trucker has a 69 fj40 and mine is a 63. Both our rigs are ready, but we decided that with the cost of fuel and everything else these days that we would flip a coin or something and just go in 1 rig. Right now we are planing on bringing cheyenne trucker's 1969 fj40.

Doug, question. I called the ice house to get a reservation for wen. night camping and then leaving our tow rig their. Julie at the ice house said she had not heard from any one from the TLCA. It's not realy a question, I just wanted to pass that along.

Well i just wanted to say hey to you all and we look forward to meeting every one
I'm trusting that Ross is handling it. He may be waiting till we have final numbers.

I called there to make my camping reservation as well for Wednesday and to leave my tow rig there and they said not to worry about it there will be plenty of camping spots for Wednesday night. I think I called this Wednesday to make that reservation

Organizing trail spares. If your driving an 80 series I have a steering box, birfield, knuckle bits such as spindle and bearings, studs, etc and of course a rear drive shaft. After last years drive shaft breakage in a 100 series (and not having a spare) I think it is a pretty important spare. I’ll call mine the driveshaft of shame.

I have several pics of your run coming down the big hill towards the springs I'll get up soon. If anyone sees pics of their rig and would like full size images emailed to them, just DM me and I'll make it happen. I was in the camo hat and shorts with the camera.

That would be great. Did not get a lot of photos. Was concentrating too hard on driving.

My son took about +300 piks on the trail. I need to sort through and post some when I’m not at work.
