Back seat anyone… You’ll have to check the width to be sure but it should fit in a 40

How do people get into it? Climb up and over the back?

I don’t know about your 40 series but mine with stock front seats they don’t go forward enough for anyone to slip past into a back seat. A bench seat in the back would mean no room for anything and people would have to climb from the rear doors over the seat just to sit down.

The 40 series came with perfect rear seating to discourage passengers already! The fold down bench seats with the quadriplegic roll bar to the back of the neck every bump was the perfect setup.

I’ve had a bench in the back for almost 30 years. The passenger seat folds forward to almost flat. The headrest will almost touch the glove box door. On the drivers side the seat folds forward and will touch the steering wheel. With practice, I’m even able to climb in and out of the back (and I’m 6’4”).

Have you ever tried to climb in and out of a pre 75 40 with a hatch, a tailgate, and a spare tire in the way of all of it? It makes climbing in the front doors look like a walk in the park.

Kinda like Nick, I almost always have a family in tow… or a kid or two and a dog or two.

Could be a lot of fun. :grinpimp:

Subaru engine and brakes, and good to go... fast!

I’d so want to put that engine out front and have a 4wd buggy. It probably wouldn’t be worth it. I’m sure a 2wd rail car would fly. The Odyssey I had with a two cylinder snowmobile engine literally flew. Full six point race cage, four point harness, and almost no weight.
