Guess we won't be seeing the 3b powered Ranger up for sale every other year any more.Log into Facebook

2 axles, Turbo 3b, 4 speed, split case, Yukon gears… all for $1000? He clearly hasn’t been following cruiser prices. I know it being attached to a Ranger frame brings the value down, but seems cheap.Log into Facebook

Anyone want to buy the other parts if I bought it for the split case, front axle, and transmission?
What would be involved in converting the 4 speed to work with a gasser input shaft?
Or alternatively, swapping housings on my rebuilt stock four speed (I think also H42) so it’ll work with a split case?

Any other 40 owners who might be interested?
@GTSSportCoupe (we know that you could use a new power plant).. Although 3B isn’t likely the direction you’d want to head.
Far too much work for little gain. I’d be better off rebuilding my spare front end, swapping in the 3.70 gears in the process, and putting my current knuckles on it with their new bearings. While I’m at it, I can prep the ASCO hubs ahead of time to make it all go smoothly. I’ve even got the u-bolts and alignment shims waiting to go in. I still need center bolts for the springs because there are a couple different options and I won’t know what I need till I’m up to my elbows in grease. You should buy it all and swap to a turbo 3B in your 40! Could use those axles to get your ratios right so you can come out wheeling!
Yeah, turbo 3B would gain me nothing over my current setup. About the same power as I make now, and still a hot IDI engine when towing. I need to get away from IDI.
I'm thinking of either importing a 15BFTE drivetrain from a Megacruiser (amazingly 'cheap' for what they are), or maybe even just bringing in an aussie VDJ76 with the v8 diesel. They're eligible for import now. With the overinflated prices of old worn out cruisers and even pickups now, may as well get the newest cruiser I can for my money.
If only there was a solution to ugly flaresNice wheels. Flares. Would be a good rig
Cool.
More frame than my 45 had… but big holes in the pictures of the frame… based on what I saw I don’t know if it was fixable.Cool.
You don't see the old ones around here much.
Probably isn't a lot of frame under there sadly.
Only $75k USD
Yeah. TOM HANKS owns it. I realize that no cheap ass on Vancouver island will buy it.Only $75k USD
