1990 HDJ81 Toyota Land Cruiser

Is it just me or are there some contradicting points in there.... 3500000kms and it was not a rollback like most, but 90000 on rebuild with new shortblock? so why did the engine go at 240

I keep hearing 81 was the best year?

81 is when they upgraded to a lot of the good things like bigger spring eyes, and the 3B came in, plus there were a heck of a lot of 42's that came to Canada that year compared to other years, mostly people that have an 81 say that is the best year, when in actuallity in 83 and 84 the last few years they made the 40 series had the power steering and 5 speed, so technically they are the most sought after and generally bring in the most coin.
Cheers,
Deny

If you don't have thumbs, power steering is over-rated. Manual steering also has the advantage of eliminating the problem of being all thumbs if you still have thumbs intact. :hillbilly:

1988 Landcruiser FJ62 RHD High Roof

2500 bucks but gas.... and it sounds weird but swap your domestic truck into this... you don't hear that too often, unless you change the interior to LHD

Cdn spec = 1981-84 are the better years in some respects, with as Deny said...83-84 being the best...if you can find one.

It's so much easier to be motivated when it's sunny. Hopefully I can drag some of this Utah sun back with me. It'll make prepping my BJ42 (that's for sale...shameless plug) easier, and harder, at the same time.

1990 HDJ81 Diesel Toyota Land Cruiser

I wonder why the engine was replaced at 260k(?)

I posted this a few weeks back but it had no pictures but Foreal could be right or at least that's one guess

Ask him?

1995 Toyota Land Cruiser VX Limited

I don't know how some people come up with their prices... You'd think if you were selling such a specialized vehicle, you'd have your a little better sense of the current market.

I contacted the seller 3 months ago when he had this add up, it took him 3 months to take those pictures

I had to explain to him what a 1HD-FT is because it has it... if your smarter than the seller there is no point in dealing with them if the price is that high.... that guy is going fishing for a non-exsistant fish, there is no way someone is going to pay that kind of money for that, the FT aint that special either and things arent moving in the HDJ81 world to start off with....

Its just like the guy asking 26000 for a 1996 LHD Lexus Prado thing with a 3LT.

I saw that Lexus/Prado LHD thing in North Van- we were head to head for the same diesel pump. I won.

ha! My truck is no rocket but it does sound mean. I was just pulling up to the pump when this nebbish came around almost on two wheels trying to beat me to it. Funny looking thing in my opinion. Lots of plastic bits on it.

It is one of my life's little irritants - not enough oil buirner pumps at the servos here in Abby. Superstore only has 2 diesel pumps here. More often than not a highway tractor is there filling up. It's a long wait. Or, there is a gasser filling up there even though most of the 'only gas' islands are empty.

Hijack out...

Here's a bump for Greg's rig...
