Thanks guys. It was a bit of a head scratcher putting a price tag on it, I figgered at this number it would hopefully go away fairly soon. :meh:

I really don't want to have to post it in the main classifieds section and endure all the questions from the southern states...

I need to get property to store all the truck's I want if I had that and money I would have a mustard 42 and a sweet 55. :D

that's interesting that he was able to register it, but look at the hi-res photos he's got the link to - that truck has not had an easy life. It will need a lot of work very, very soon. Not worth $20,000 IMO. Other than being a rare body style, in that condition it is not worth that much, not surprised he's getting "low ball offers"

Clearly I'm missing something here, how is it legal import from Australia.. and wouldn't the price be sky high?

FS or Trade: 1994 HZJ75 Land Cruiser

There are ways of getting newer than 25 yr old vehicles imported. I have seen them come up on fleabay in the US. I have also heard of cases of Homeland Security hunting down these imports and seizing them. I would be checking very carefully before I spent any money on a grey market import under 25 years of age in the US.

Been there too have you?

No, I don't really sell anything, but everytime you look through an add in the classifieds it's all about wanting stupid pictures, when they give so many already, then the import thing, plus I can't stand all the advice everyone gives too. :D

Can you post detailed pictures of the interior, specifically if there are any tears in the seats, and do you know if it is importable into the states? :hillbilly:

At first glance, I thought you might be looking to bring mootard up north. Where's my coffee .

You could always ditch the Lexus... :grinpimp:

Land cruiser wanted

Yeah Unfortunately I have 240k kms on mine.

I followed the build up of that truck on Expo and the new owners additions on it. It looks like a solid truck and probably worth what he is asking. Hell I rode on a bus for 36 hours to look at a rusted out BJ75 Troopie in PG 1.5 years ago for 8k. This one is way newer and in much much better shape also have a 1hz. Kind of wish I had held out for a Troopie. :frown: Main killer for me on this one is the RHD thing.

There was a Belgium SAR 85 BJ75 Troopie that just sold on Mud for $25K LHD and 55k miles that would have been a dream truck!

I think just about any cruiser owner would have taken that. If that came up before my 77 I would have bought it if it was close by.

Don't forget, " does it have ac cable lockers and factory turbo?" one of the classic texan questions.

I think only boats breed experts as fast as the cruiser classifieds, I'll avoid it for as long as possible.

So far I've been offered a quad, a 66 tbird landau and a chest full of snap on tools in trade...weird...

Well if the potato streched it into a troopie body, I would offer him double,

Would even partial trade my 60 for it (sans turbo, axles, and tires!) :hillbilly:

hey, I have extra hard top sides, a stretched fiberglass portion of a hard top and some extra tub sides.

Couple chunks of rectangular tubing for the frame and you got yerself a troopie kit. :hillbilly:

Yeah, after I typed that, I went to look at your build thread, and figure it would porbably be easier and cheaper for me to streach a 42, then try to take my 60 and combine it with an old troopy body and frame. Give me the weekend to think about this, I may be interested.
Cheers,
Deny

ha, I was kinda kidding

I was strongly considering a mootard troopie. If it doesn't sell, someone may have to stop me...:hillbilly:
