Update

Gentlemen,

I am looking at doing an engine swap to a Cummins 5.9... I am on the works to get a the complete
Kit to adapt to the new replacement stock transmission... All the work will be done at Mopar Alternatives in Murrieta, CA. They are experts on diesel and have done numerous swaps of Cummins engines to Ford trucks and others...
Will keep you posted, I want this rig to be 100%

My father in law owns a 1998 Land Cruiser Turbo diesel five speed monster, his is original and only has 60k miles, is an FJZ80 body. He lives in Bolivia and I always wanted to have the same vehicle.... I know is not quite the same, but I am very excited :)

when I saw the other thread you started and the link over to this one, I looked through this entire thread trying to find what wheels and tires are on your rig. I even saw the question asked earlier here with no answer. care to enlighten us on the tire size??? :)
thanks

They are Nitto Trail Grapplers LT295/65R20 (37x12.50/20LT) matched to 20" Raceline Wheels' 981 Raptor flat black wheels 20x9. The tires run about $400 a piece and the wheels about $200...

The tires have good reviews overall, but they are a bit expensive... I am glad that I only have about 2k on them. They feel nice on and off road and they are not loud...

Hope you found the information useful... ;)

Great thanks a lot!

love this build, shame it sold

I know man... I kept going back and forth about it...

All the bolt-on parts are awesome, but there is a lot of work left... After the engine swap I plan on giving it a paint job, upgrade the brakes, do a dual battery set-up, purchase a long travel fuel tank..
