As long as you go in a touchfree car wash you should have no issues with the Snorkel. I go a couple times a month with no issues.

I had a Safari snorkel for many years on my FJ cruiser. Took it through all kinds of car washes never had an issue. It did eat a bat and a bird over the course of its life. Never ran it backwards even in crazy blizzards where I had a 2ft chin of snow sticking off the bumper. No issues.
My cruiser wont even fit in a car wash b/c of the Alu Cab RTT on top so I manually wash it. I've never had a problem in tons of rain, snow, etc with our safari snorkel. Filter always looks really clean too. I would turn it around in high amounts of dust for sure.
