I had duratracs on the Xterra I had before my LC100. They are great in the snow and mud, however, I've heard from people that the snow performance drops significantly once they get to 50% tread or so. Not sure why though.
Good to know, those tires r pricey

Decent trails down there? I'm there quite often (will actually be there next weekend) but never get out to explore but would like to.
Not too bad. A real nice long run from Yuma to Ajo on El Camino Del Diablo. All others are pretty short. Lots of smooth two track, plenty of wash boards too. North of town in the Picacho area is nice with lots of options. Anza Borrego is pretty close and fun.

Yeah I was looking at those and the cooper st max but wasn't sure if I wanted to shell out the extra 25 buck a tire.

When I got them, and this was about to years ago so things may have changed, the Nittos were less expensive than BFGs. The Coopers were actually my first choice, but were even more expensive than the other two.

Yeah, that's part of the reason I went with AT2s this time around. I wanted to replace all five and that got real expensive.
