tilt/telescopic steering column issue

Hi,

I replaced both motors on the steering colum. The tilt works, but the telescopic function doesn't work. Disconnected, the motor works, but when connected not. The bearing turns freely but the colum even by hand takes quite a lot of force to pull out or push down. I already put WD40 on the colum telescopic part but still to no avail. So, what's the solution here? Thanks

I believe you can turn this function on/off in techstream. Are you sure it hasn’t been turned off? I’m pretty sure I turned that function off on my truck when I got it a few years ago.

ok guys - just picked up a 2001 LX470 with 140k miles. It a good clean vehicle and working on getting a couple things fixed. I have looked all over the forums and I’m am trying to get an understanding of how to disable the “easy entry” feature on the steering wheel so that it won’t automatically tilt? I have been to both the Lexus dealer and the Toyota dealers and neither can seem to be able to do it with TechStream. I also want to change the remote to one click opening. I know this is possible but the dealers are telling me it is not an option in TechStream? Any ideas would be...

Yes, because the tilt works as it should and I can hear the motor trying to turn.

Swap wire housing block, from working to none working. This helps determine, if switch or wiring issue.
