Saw this 45 sitting by the side of the road north of Perth. It was on fenced off land but no farm house. Looks like it was paddock truck that failed to proceed one day and left to rot,sad to see an old truck have such an inglorious end:confused:
Photo dates are wrong,it was a few weeks back

Find out who owns it or at least the land and get the truck back on the road again.

There are several thousand dollars worth of parts on that truck. The headache rack alone could be sold for $500 or so.

Ask if you can strip it.

There's a fair few that have been left out to rot, I've just missed out on a couple, one was a giveaway listed in the local classifieds and another a bloke down the road sold for 50 bucks a few weeks ago.

A complete rust free, straight, Tub, complete with headache rack sold on ebay.au last week for less than $200! If I wasnt so damn busy ATM I would have bought it.
I have a spare headache rack here if anyone wants it. Will Swap

Speaking of vehicles that have been left to rot, I've just picked up an '81 HJ 47 troopy, it's a true rustbucket (beach vehicle), but at least it goes, plus I've seen worse. I get it trucked to my place tomorrow. It even has A/C - that doesn't work, but we'll see about that.;) I'll rip it apart alongside my shorty and evaluate whether or not it's saveable.

That one is too far gone for me LOL If I wanted one ,I would buy a runner.

where abouts is that mate?

I think it was on Waterville rd,about 500 metres east of Telephone rd and about 2klms north of
Gin Gin Brook rd,not sure of the name of the area, but its not far from the Moore River National Park.
I had a look on Google earth but the the 45 isnt on their pics

You can pick up a runner for a few hundred bucks if you look around. would cost more than that just to drag this one home.

Mattydub,
that tub was a good buy.
Its only about an hour up the road from me, was so going to bid, but changed my mind at the last minute. Are you shipping it to WA?

Wheres the pics Herbs???

Here's a pic of the POS troopy I've just acquired, there's that much rust that the rear u bolts holding the springs are rusted away, how it isn't dragging its arse I don't know.:hillbilly:

Funny but also tragic, the idiot that used to drive this never bothered washing it after he took it on the beach, there's still half a beach underneath it.

thats is such a shame to see it go but most def a full resto needed and loooking at it it would need love to ever panel

Nice troopy btw

Any one watch the start of All saints this week the paras got flown to a remote area and the doc in the area picked them up in a old girl ,i think it was a hj 47 maybe hj45 series and it had the old wood sides on the tray ,really cool to see driving

that square bezel means 47??

not sure if its a late 45 or a early 47. Motor sounds odd. Starts like a petrol but runs like a kubota tractor!

Herbs, that troopy doesnt look to bad
