That's the good angle........:frown: There's a thousand huge rust bubbles on the back and the passenger side, the radiator flops around because the mounts on the chassis crossmember are goneski, plus a few other bodymounts are rusted through on the chassis. But there are some good bits on it, despite the fact it has rust on rust, as such. The windscreen frame and cowl beneath it are surprisingly good, the floor and wheel arches in the rear aren't too bad, plus the doors are repairable and the roof is ok. The Warn 8274 on the front needs an overhaul, not sure if I'm going to keep or sell the winch, I'll price up an overhaul kit for it and look at the solenoids. Some people out there don't deserve such good vehicles, hope they're banished to Ssanyongs forevermore.

BTW - All 40/45/47s from mid-late 1979 to the last of them had the square bezel.
 
when did the hj45 turn into the hj47 ,the 47 means the ute got the 2h motor ay?
 
Yeah the HJ 47 has the 2H as opposed to the H in the HJ 45, the first HJ 47s I'm sure were August 1980, my HJ 45 is plated Feb '80, so it's getting towards the last of the vehicles with the 3.6 litre H. The 2H is a better motor, plus the post 8/'80 vehicles have the split transfer case and crossmember under the gearbox, earlier vehicles had mounts on either side of the bellhousing, no crossmember under the gearbox.
 
I think it was on Waterville rd,about 500 metres east of Telephone rd and about 2klms north of
Gin Gin Brook rd,not sure of the name of the area,but its not far from the Moore River National Park.
I had a look on Google earth but the the 45 isnt on their pics
