Hello again all. I am in the process of undoing a lot of hackery on my 62 FJ40. I completed my engine swap (79 2f w/ 4spd conversion) a bit ago and have been tinkering in pockets of time. I had everything running well and driving around relatively painlessly until my carb crapped out. Rather than attempting to rebuild the Weber which I don’t really care for, I opted for an OE-style carb.

I am undoing a lot of the mess from the PO’s Weber setup. I need to know what my best approach to my throttle setup is and whether or not a forum member may have a kit for me to make this all play nicely together. I’m going to attach some photos. I currently have a TPI gas pedal kit w/ Weber style throttle cable lying around but don’t think this is going to work for my application.

It appears I still have some of the old linkage style throttle bolted to my firewall, but the Weber setup was just using a cable for the throttle.

Can you guys lead me in the right direction as to what I need to get my throttle set up? Recommendations on direct cable vs linkage w/ bell crank? This is pretty much the last step I need to sort out before I can really take this thing out on the road.

Thanks in advance, and please bare with me, I’m working in very small pockets of time (work 10hr days+dad) thanks all!
