Thoughts on Prados?

Good, reliable trucks. A few apparently had injector issues but that's hearsay not an anecdotal. I have a friend in Europe who has an automatic 05 or 06 D4D, basic spec long wheelbase. Buys all his rigs new and drives them into the ground. He replaced his Isuzu Trooper with it as that truck was at 150,000+ hard farm miles. So far no issues with the 120-series, but I haven't spoken to him in 6 months so I'll let you know if anything cropped up. His wife drives a stick shift 02 Pajero 3.2. They like the Pajero ride and power a little better but like the Prado for towing livestock, though it's close. Both are pre-DPF, but the DPF trucks have shown to have good reliability too.

I have driven a 2012 Prado (150 series) in Trinidad extensively and I can say, without a doubt, it is one of the best vehicles made today. Solid, luxury in the right places, but still a TLC. I would get one as soon as possible (or 2 and send one to me).
