Nothing too aggressive, I don't do much mud riding and spend more time on the street, but want something for hard packed and single tracks.

Thanks

2.2" arrow launches are good but pricey

they are fast, but wash out easily compared to my 2.6 gazzi's.lol

I ride on Kenda Nevegal 2.1 DTC stickees. It's a very fast rolling tire in the woods or on the road, and very grippy when needed. Mountain Bike Action has rated the tire number 1 XC for the past two years. They list at $47.99 each, but it's veryeasy to find them at a discount.

Thanks for the tips. I ended up going with Forté VersaTrac/K.

I'll see how they feel.

A kenda small block 8 rear and a kenda nevegal front end makes for a great commuting and offroad setup. I run them on my bike when I am doing long races and such but still need some good traction up front for trails.

Kendal Nevegal 2.3 Dual Thread Compound (DTC) Tubless.....
they grip nice and hard !!!

I ride Small block 8's but I have no rocks to puncture the thin sidewalls. The rolling resistances is next to nothing plus if the sand or dirt you are on is not wet not a better offroad tire. Just my experience and .02 cents.

X2!!!

but if you ride more road, i would suggest Kenda SB8s front/rear :D

The Kenda Nevegals (aka heavagals) are heavy/slow but they sure grip really well in dry dusty conditions like here in Austin, TX.

I might have to look into these. I think my Panaracer Fire XC Pros have dry rotted from not being used :(

I love WTB's... I'm currently running a Nanoraptor in the back and a Weirwolf LT up front on my singlespeed 29er. The Nano is plush and the Weirwolf is plenty plush to help out with my full rigid setup.

Continental Double Fighters- I don't know if they're still made- I love 'em.

I see they're still made- but not in the orange stripe down the center/ kevlar version that I still have.
