That's a beautiful truck. Me want. Per Capita income in UAE is one of the highest in the world-higher than the US or Canada.

Tell you the truth its actually far from that. If we are saying "Per Capita" - 60+% of the population here is Indian and Pakistani.

Out of that number almost all manual labour is done by them and their normal monthly salary is between 800-1400AED ($220-$380). Now for the American and European passport holders there is a very good chance you can do the same job here that you do back home for alot more money.

Another thing to consider though is even though the salary can be higher, the cost of living here is one of the highest.

I use to live in a freehold (cookie cutter neighborhood setup for expats to own/rent) 3 bedroom villa use to cost me 210,000AED ($57,200) a yr rent. And the real shocker was you pay that up front with one check.

That's true but that was 3 years back but now the rent is way down. You can get new flat with one bedroom in tall tower for 10k$ a year. The cost of living is less than UK and US. Believe me I lived is the state for 2 years and I know what I am talking about.
