This weeks progress, next two weeks we tackle the front.
rear diif 8-14.webp

Started with powder coating the frame. Rear diff was taken apart and check replaced all seals. Hoping not to have to do anything with the front diff as it only has about 30 k on it.

The whole story is that this will be my first vehicle my dad and I are building from the following:

69' rolled in 73 low only 30k on engine and front drivetrain
70' rusted beyond repair and bad engine but hood ffront fenders and hard top in great shape.
72' tub a little rough but not much rust to fix.

It will be a 70' with a 69' engine and front diff, 70' rear diff, front fenders, top and hood and a 72' tub.

It is pretty neat looking at the 69' it has the original tires and the head lights still burn. 125 or better compression per cylinder and no rust. It is just real bent.

All in all just building it back to "stock 69',70',72' Paint it Dune biege and tool around school

What an awesome learning experiance, and better yet your doing it with your Dad! Take lots of pictures and make an album. In years you will probably cherish the experiance more than the cruiser. The pictures will help you later on when you have a problem and your memory fades as you get older.

Is your Dad a cruiser lover?
