Alright you hosers....where is this light?

My owner's manual says nothing about a 4wd light on the dash.
it would be the bright green light that says 4wd :flipoff2:

Same green light on my '87 until the bulb went out. I still have 4wd so the light obviously is not 100% reliable. Next job: change the light. But it's blue??? mmmmm Cruiserdan to the rescue!

yeah your pretty much a dip****.

Speaking of giving Patride s***, he seems to have given up on proper word usage altogether.

(It would have been really great if lowtide had caught that one, considering Pat is his personal editor and all... :flipoff2: )

I can never remember what year model mine is - '83 or '84, but mine has the 4wd light. Weird that the older ones don't (and my junk is old!)

i figured someone would give me hell about it, but i knew it wouldn't be Al, since he can barely spell. :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

i live in a glass house, but i insist on throwing stones...... :D

hey patty, blow me...

My rig lights up red there...but is not marked...Only see it at start up with the charge light.

Nov.81 i believe is some of the first 60's imported into the us, so they might have lil diff.????

If your 60 has the s***ty vinyl headliner, it's an 83. If it has the fuzzy crap, it's an 84! If it doesn't have a light, it's an FJ-40! You can tell cause the top comes off :D :princess:

Ya can't get through tech at CM'05 if the light doesn't work.

My 84 had the coveted light. You people without the light are just jealous. It does have a certain Pimp factor. Kinda like the neon light kits under the sliders. Toyota did the same thing in the 80 series. The first few years had Center Diff Lock buttons. After a while, they just figured the viscous coupling was enough for the sissified yuppies buying the trucks for mall duty, but fortunately many of these 80's have been saved by putting them on dirt and plugging new switches in the virginal dash, returning these trucks to the glory and destiny nature originally intended. Those silly Toyota engineers can be just so wacky at times...:)
