and wondering what year model I should look for.

Also, I looked at faq and didn’t see a ur model breakdown for the 200.

When was the first year and last?

Thanks in advance!

Made from 2008 to present. Minor facelifts until 2016 which was a major facelift, transmission from 6-auto to 8-auto, and interior update. They are all good, no dog years. If it's long term I'd buy the lowest mileage with maint records you can swing. That being said land cruisers and high mileage are still good buddies as long as it's well maintained and rust free. You'll probably get some more specific advice if you have a budget in mind.

13 got xenon headlamps, added front seat ventilation to the heat already equipped on cruisers, and significantly updated the MFD in the dash adding a color display that makes the instruments seem a LOT more modern than 08-11

Oh and there technically was no 2012 model year

Edit: I believe 2010 added Bluetooth audio

Look for no rust, good records and low mileage. Be aware there is the outstanding recall which has a hold on new and used 200's at Toyota dealers. This reduces some 200's from the marketplace for another month or so.

Indicating your target price range will get you better advice re year/mileage to look for...but you don’t mention budget.

Also consider your intentions regarding future modification (bumpers, winch, etc. or mostly stock).

There are no “bad model year” 200’s, so it really comes down to budget and the various cosmetic and transmission tweaks you prefer.

I would personally avoid the MYs with the 8 speed transmission. Stay with the tried and true 6 speed auto.

Know that Tom Williams Lexus in B’ham/Hoover will advertise an online price, then add a “non-negotiable” Documentation Fee and a Protective Coating Fee to the sales price when you get there. Doc fee was around $700 and Coating fee was over $1000 (IIRC) on the advertised $24,999 online price in my case. They caved on the Coating fee when we got ready to walk away from the deal, but would not budge on the Doc fee. Even with the Doc fee it was the best price I had been able to find in the country, so we went ahead with the deal. Been a great vehicle so far.
