I've got that fancy Warn compressor winch, it does a great job. Even keeps my 1/4" ratchet going for
30 secs! I am soon to be installing an ARB compressor ( its an old one, but it does ok too )
Thinking of an air tank, having a line from both compressors to keep it up. I don't know the exact output of either compressor, but figure a one way valve from each into the tank.
I think locating it close to the skid plate behind the t-case where the old catalytic converter used to be.
5 gal?? Not sure but I think that would be a decent size there that might fit.
Kind of like the idea of proper small air tools onboard. So I'm asking what y'all think.
Thanks, J

I scrolled through all the pics of my old 45 looking for a shot of my setup in there.

Not sure if I found one or not, I was crying like a bitch by the time I got to the end...:crybaby::crybaby::crybaby::bang:

Tanks size doesn't matter a ton tho, any tank is better than none. Mine was probably around 5gal.

If anyone is interested I could probally dig up a few old aluminum SCBA (fire fighting bottles) bottles. They are about 2.5gal and are good for 2200psi.
Nathaniel used one with good results if I recall correctly.

I've got one, had forgotten it's in the shed. I am only going to 95 psi I think with these little 12V compressors.
Not a bad idea, is it big enough I wonder for what I've planned?

We have a local company here in Nanaimo that makes under hood high CFM light weigh small space compressors, not sure if theirs would work ok for your application just a thought and option: VMAC http://vmacair.com/product/underhood-lite/

I've got compressors. vmacair are really stupid expensive and heavy ( 60 lbs?), for commercial applications.
Those Oasis units require 180 amps.
What I'm wondering about is whether I can keep a small tank full, and how I might use the one or two compressors
I've got to plumb it. I just think it would make field repairs easier and safer.

Not sure how air tools makes field repairs easier or safer ? In all the times I have been out wheeling and broken something major , It usually resulted in a tow to the nearest spot you could get a trailer or just hand tools were sufficient to make repairs . You might end up packing around air tools in your truck tool box for years that never get used . Or Spend more time getting set up to do the repair than the repair itself . Filling tires is about the only thing where a compressor is really needed imop . Not a bad idea on your tow rig though .
