Nice score. Have you fired it up yet? I am not aware of that brand in the states maybe someone else is. 6mm cutting thickness is nice as is the single/3 phase capability.

What does the torch look like? Depending how old it is, you might not be able to get consumables for it anymore. Might have to convert to a newer torch.

Looks awesome though! Price sure was right

There is no evidence it runs on 3 phase power. The voltage alone doesn't mean it is 3 phase and the tag does not indicate 3 phase. It is hard, if not impossible to make a transformer machine that runs on both. Inverters are no problem with either single or 3 phase power.

G'Day Fella's,

Thanks for your replies, much appreciated.

Yes Prarie Swamp, I pluged it into my 15 amp 240 Volt plug, and the Power light came on, and the cooling fan started up.
Apart from that, I have done no more, apart from post my dumb question here.

GLTHFJ60, I'll take an image of the torch and the other parts, and post it here asap.

Pin_Head, it has both single (15Amp) and 3 phase (4 Pin) leads and plugs, and going on it's weight (48Kg -105.6 pound), I'm assuming it may have two seperate and Copper wound transformers?

Luckily, I have multiple 15 Amp single phase as well as 4 pin, 3 phase plugs in my Funshop, so getting a spark into this unit, shouldn't be an issue.

D'oh!

I still doubt it is 3 phase and single phase. It is quite possible that the 415 V plug has 4 prongs. To have both single and 3 phase transformers would also require separate bridge rectifiers, so everything on the AC sides would have to be duplicated. Very expensive and heavy and nobody is going to want both because it isn't a portable unit.

G'Day Fella's,
Here are some additional images of the same P/cutter.

Here is an image of the rear end, with the Air coupling spigot (and regulator above it), cooling fan, and also shows where both power cable's, enter the unit's box.

Here's both the single and 3 phase plugs.

And here is the hand piece/torch, which, as you can see, has the letters A.R.M. on it?

Looking forward to any detail you good folk may have on this unit.
