Fantastic run and excellent team work to get Dave's truck up and running again...then tackle another 11 miles of swampy trails. :steer: I've driven hundreds of trail miles on had pack dirt and granite but the game changes a smidgen when 6 inches of rain is mixed in. It definitely upped my driving game a few times and I escaped with only a minor kiss to the OEM rear bumper corner.

Great first run with the group, I'm grateful to everyone who welcomed my son and I into the fold. The trail breakdown gave me a few things to add to the list of spare parts and tools to carry. I'll try to post up some recommendations based on what we dealt with out there.

Pretty awesome that someone had a floor jack handy to use on the trail!

Yes, it was a very impressive amount of talent and having the right trail equipment to get the truck back on the trail in about the same amount of time as it would your garage!

Every Member made a contribution of equipment, there wasn't A single truck with more than a small box of spares/ tools.

To be clear Dave is now the name applied to the person who breaks on the trail, it can be used as both a noun or a verb.

Nothing personal to any actual Dave and any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental.

It was nice meeting some of the “local talent” and thanks for dropping by our little get-together. 😊

Thank you as well for inviting us! Loved seeing the 70s out there, see quite a few potential future trucks for myself.

We’ll be back next September. 😁

First weekend in December (4th or 5th)? I am headed to Spain in two weeks and with Thanksgiving puts me out until then. Think we can can get a few trucks ready by then. What sort of trails you interested in?

Another good weekend to circle on the calendar is MLK weekend in Jan. There has been several Alabama and Nashville LC folks up that same weekend the past few years!

Maybe we will get lucky and it will snow again, it made the trails much more interesting last year.

John - maybe we can pencil both in and get everyone out at one or both. Maybe Caryville for next day trip and then Windrock for MLK?

Sounds good, will post up “meeting spot” for caravan to trail head next week after Tuesday meeting.

I wish I could come to the meeting tonight but my boys have their Christmas concert tonight.

I was informed by my daughter last night that she really wanted to go wheeling with me this weekend but that she was hosting a Christmas party for her and her friends on Saturday at our house. Would anyone want to go on Sunday instead of Saturday?

I can't make the meeting tonight, celebrating my birthday with the new smoker :) I'll know later this week regarding the run.

Sounds like the trail ride kinda fell apart (rain expected Fri/Sat, holiday commitments, etc…). Think we will just pencil something in for official January ride. Martin Luther holiday weekend has been floated as the weekend.
