I assume you have decided to do some form of hydro assist? What's the scoop? I've looked into it but I haven't found enough available info to feel fully comfortable with it yet.

How fast do you plan on driving to the Rubicon? I am beginning to face the reality that I may have to drive instead of trailering my rig. I would love to caravan, but I drive pretty slow:rolleyes:

I cruise no more than 70 mph, easier to keep pace in a caravan.

So they say that when you live in Southern California it's a must that you have a convertable. So how does one achieve such a task?

Draw a few lines with some masking tape, pick up your favorite grinder w/ cutting wheel disk, and make sure you watch those sparks and the insulation which tends to catch fire rather easily.

One of this weekends tasks, enjoy:

Remove the top. Weighs a lot more than I expected

Looks good Sam!

You should replace the roof with that Opaque plastic stuff like a UPS truck!

Call up Brown and ask what they can do for you! :flipoff2:

Awesome. Subscribing.

There is something vaguely reminding me of Mickey Rubicon's truck, but you need more stickers.

Nice going.

Strong work Sam, rolled or not that takes cajones. Thanks for posting the pics as you go, I am enjoying watching your progress as you bring her back to life.

I have a bunch of that UPS stuff, I make their containers for the planes all day long.

It's called Cargolite, a propriatary product.
how much you want? GE 1009 silicone will seal it to yur roof and it's good for up to -200 degrees, and flame reatardant also.

I'm not sure I know what you guys are talking about, have a pic or link? Sounds like an interesting idea so long as it is not heavy...let me see, sounds cool.

That would be so sweet. Like having a skylight. I wonder if it would get too hot?

That or run some carbon fiber up top..... Come now tell me that wouldn't look cool on an all black rig, of course then u would have to do the hood.

Look out Honda's!!! ha ha

Things have been hectic and it sucks waiting for parts. Finished with the chop, ditched the old steering cooler for that massive blingy finned piece from PSC. Hydro just arrived, So much to do and so little time. Steering box is unbolted and ready to be pulled. The killer is that my welder is toast, and hydro assist is not going to stay on w/ duct tape.:hillbilly: time for a  , brainstorming and another "to do" list.

few pics enjoy

Looks Good!

FYI, i think you might need a bigger winch! :flipoff2:

have you looked into the PRK laws on windshields? As in a windshield is mandatory or it has to be glass etc...?

Nice, I like the custom tailgate logo.

huh heh ehehehuh

COOL!

a convertible canvas top would be sick!

Where's the roll bar coming from?
cool.webp

E, always a Debbie downer with the law and reality :D. I do appreciate the concern and it will have a windshield, 70mph on the freeway is not very feasible and I'm not about to wear a full helmet.
