My Spressofab HD lower control arms came in today. To say these things are beefy would be insulting. I added the K-Bar for scale and fun!! Why not? Thanks Dan, these are awesome. I love coming home to truck parts.

Look great! I'm jealous!

How do these differ from the wildwest LCAs?

(random old camera phone picture attached, just to keep this a picture thread...)

Tomorrow is gonna be a good day...(If I can ever get my hitch off).

Thanks Steen!

No, thank you! :D

Had a great time. Not happy that we didn't make any progress on yours, but here's a couple of pics of the new additions.

I realize the jerry can holder is up too high. Had to put it on to get as sense of what it would look like, and without drilling, didn't see how it would mount to the swingout. Other than that, the Slee is the bomb! Of course it's way too clean to be on my truck, but we can fix that.

The rack is a nice addition too.

You Have Been Spotted.

I saw your cruiser parked behind the Eat Good at the corner of Laughlin and Cambridge at 1:00 pm in McLean, VA today. It had an ARB front and rear bumber with IPFs and a warn in the front. The running boards were still on, and there were stock size Nitto TGs.

So I bit the bullet and PlastiDipped the emblems, grille, rear bumper and side trim. I think it turned out well, with a bit of a learning curve thrown in.

Any thoughts? I'll get better pics later. Truck still needs a new battery so I couldn't pull it out.

Looks good!! How much prep did the trim need?

Dude, that looks great! Does the PD cure at all and harden up after a fay or so? I did my emblems today and I am going to have to re-do the sombrero as some peeled off when I was trying to get the BD out of the middle sections. Maybe I didn't put enough coats on (I did three).

Damn, your yard looks better than mine...

Looks great, skids and you are done...(for 2011). I am actually happy that I had an install delay. I spent the morning purchasing every tool made in North America that could play a part in removing a frozen bolt, then a removed [STRIKE]all[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]most[/STRIKE] some of the rust off the rear frame crossmember, painted the rear frame, PlastiDipped my rear emblems and cleaned, sanded and painted the Slee and installed everything with utmost OCD. Think I gonna post a little 5 year Slee check-in thread so that people can see what these look like a getting beat on for 6 years!

Here is a teaser:

That's the real beauty of this stuff. I gave everything a quick wipe with some simple green and that was it. No sanding, no scuffing, no muss no fuss. I slathered it on pretty thick too, and even though it got a little runny, unless you're up close you really can't tell. It's very forgiving.

It certainly feels more stout, but not really hardened. I found that hitting it with a super light coat, letting it tack up, then hitting it with two more very thick coats within about ten minutes of each other netted the best results. This way you can apply it in thicker layers, and even if you over apply the runs will sort of melt back into the layer underneath since it's still a little wet. Great stuff.

Here's another pic to keep in line with the thread...I decided to leave my mud sticker on the back bumper, which has now been ghosted into the plastidip.
