Hey guys,

I've got my new 4x4labs bumper almost all the way installed.

I am having a hard time getting it the last 1" onto the frame, I have removed all rivets and there is nothing blocking it, its just the friction against the frame (in my opinion) that is keeping it from sliding all the way.

I used my BA(rubber)H to bang it on a bit and "shimmy" it down, I just can't get it further.

Any suggestions on how to get it the rest of the way? Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks,

JR

Haha - I WD40’d it when I gave up and came to you guys. I should’ve put some caliper grease or something in there prior to trying the install though.

I would suggest using ratchet straps (the 2" wide ones). Attach both hooks to the truck and just let the webbing go around the bumper. Crank them as tight as possible then apply some percussive persuasion to the bumper.

Love this idea, I’ll head out there and give it a go.
