It gets rough up here in the HWD sometimes - you never know when your going to need to bug out. I just need to dig some tunnels now...

If you do dig that, do you call yourself first?

A neighbor of mine that I grew up down the street from used to sell hidden safes and hidden safe room entries. There were all sorts of cool latches. One neat one was in the striker pocket of a door lock, there was a button that would trip a latch, and the door was under spring pressure for the first 2" of opening or so. Another one was a magnetic latch behind a wall panel, and you'd slide a magnet on the wall to trip it. Very 007 stuff.

Wow nice Matt

that's not the right combo for that, you just need to loosen the parking brake adjusters.

I pulled the plug and spun that adjuster. There was a lot of mud and some rust. I'm glad I had new calipers and rotors to install.

The rotor came off that locked axle much easier than it did my factory axle. As far as I know it had been on there for 245k miles.

So, I know you guys know I'm into photography. The guy whose workshops I took in Dubai, Joe McNally, has been a favorite of mine for years now. Each year, he does a great blog post on 9/11 and his photojournalism and portraiture contributions.

Thought some of y'all might like to read his post today:

"If we walk the world with open eyes and an open heart, the telling of such wonderful stories remains possible. The thought of that is enough, really, to take the cameras and put them on my shoulders every day." -Joe McNally

Just a reminder that there will be a group of the HOT south guys going down Friday 27th to camp and wheel at Stony lonesome. I will be heading that way with my entire family kids ranging from 4yo to 8yo. Let me know if any of you are interested and I will keep an eye out for you and update more as we get closer.

I guess I should have asked first, but is this an open ride? Or does HOT have a camp site reserved? More details? Fees? Etc.

Nothing reserved its basically just me trying to get everyone out and enjoying their cruisers and each others company instead of mall crawling. Camping is $11 for tent camping and I believe $15 for drivers. Check stony lonesome web page

I finally have a solid hit on the benz.
Is there a cheaper/better option than a u-haul trailer if I end up agreeing to meet this guy 1/2 way with the vehicle?

Where was the Benz at?

Benz is in 62898.

interested buyer is in hot lanta.
