Final painting is complete. Will let this stuff dry until the afternoon and hopefully do the final install for the bows.
The paint is taking forever to dry in this heat and humidity.
The B pillar came with only one place to secure it to the top door frame which is on the back side of the pillar. So I added a nurtsert to give it two points of attachment, one in the horizontal plane and one in the vertical plane.

My wife took the dog for a walk So I snuck the pieces into the house so they could dry in 75 degree, low humidity.

Once upon a time, I brought a freshly-painted oil tank from an antique motorcycle into the kitchen, and baked it at very low heat in my wife's oven - while she was out of the house of course. Even though the oil tank was scrupulously clean, the oven brought out the residual smell of cleaning solvent and of course paint, and the whole downstairs smelled of it for days. She was not happy!

I ordered 031 from paintscratch.com. It was a close match but a little lighter than necessary.
Ended up needing more paint so I went a local automotive paint supplier.
They matched it more closely starting with what their computer called 1978 Toyota 031.
I used the first paint I bought for base coat and finished with the locally procured paint for final coats.
It is pretty close.
Good grief, 75!
We leave our AC on at 72! Luckily it doesn't come on until it's about 85 outside, it might fire up in an hour or so once the evening sun starts beating down on my west windows.

As I write this I am exhausted. 2 hours of Beach 
in the AM. Detailed my wife’s 200. Drove the cart while my son golfed 9 this afternoon. Grilled steaks. And worked on the soft top here and there. Quite a bit of progress. The paint is a little lighter than the original. I’m ok with that.

Had an extra interior light ready to go. These collars arrive Tuesday. They will sit on top of the B pillar and keep the front bow secure while allowing for adjustments in the future should the soft top need tightening. Tomorrow I will pull it out int the sun and let the soft top warm up a bit more.

Woke up this morning with the rising sun and got busy.
Threading the soft top though these channels was a bit tougher than I anticipated.
I was sweating and frustrated then I heard the little melody.

It seems to me the rear bow is too tall. It measures 42”. The one 120mm received from real steel measures 40 and 1/4. I’m not going to make a move right away but it seems to that the rear bow needs to be trimmed a bit.

@cbmontgo Would you mind sharing the height of that rear bow from where it contacts the tub?
Replied to your PM but I will post here too. My B-pillars are 32 1/2" from tub to top of hoop.
Rear hoop is 39 3/4" from fender well and 47" in the center from floor to top of hoop.

I ended up taking 2.5“ off the rear bow. It’s still bit tight but I think once the footman loops are on I will be able to cinch it down. I would rather keep it on the tight side for now since I know it will stretch.

Passenger door is finished. The new felts inside make a huge difference. I dont think this window will rattle anymore. New Cruiser Corp door panels.
