I had a spray out made of the breathe green, fashion green and the grayish olive (6H9). The later two turned out too dark for me. The picture was taken in direct sunlight so it is a little washed out. Go to your local paint shop and ask them to spray out the colors you are interested in. My guys didn't charge, but where I work we do alot of business with them.

 I have to post that im very happy with this topic ,thanks to all to keep this alive and for trying to paint a fewTLC with that's nice green color...

I called a couple of automotive paint suppliers this morning, and the lowest price for a sprayout was $20! I realize that this is a one-in-a-million shot, but any chance you still have the sprayouts you mentioned above?

Toyota Greens

Propilot agreed to share his sprayouts with me, and I thought I would return the favor by posting them here. These pictures were taken in full sunlight . EDIT: Now that I've uploaded them I see that the colors are slightly washed out; in reality they are just a touch darker (at least darker than they show up on my monitor). But since dark colors always seem lighter when sprayed over a large area, this is probably a good indication of what a vehicle painted in these colors would look like.

Left to right they are:
Greyish Olive (6H9)
Fashion Green
Breath Green

FWIW, Fashion and Breath Green seem to be different shades of the same basic color (hue?). If you had two vehicles painted in these colors I bet they would be hard to tell apart unless parked next to each other. Fashion and 6H9 are about the same shade, but 6H9 has much more brown in it, giving it a deeper olive tint. Breath Green is alot closer to Nebula Green that I thought it would be.

Hope this helps, and thanks again, Propilot!

very cool!

I would love to see spray test for other colors if anyone has them laying about, maybe even start a sticky thread with factory colors sprayed, to get a look at real world spray conditions of old colors.

I know i would love to see what tropical coral T-333 looks like sprayed.

Thanks again, breathe green looks pretty sweet btw.

Not a bad idea. I went ahead and posted these spray out pics in the official color code thread.

Brian, that 6H9 sample that you posted looks like it contains too much brown  Mine looks just like the pics that Miker posted above. Could they have made a mistake with the mixing ?

It's possible, or it may just be a bad picture! Now that I look, it does look a little browner on my monitor than on the card.

Miker is sending me a small sample of his 6H9, so I'll be able to compare and let you know.

Maybe it is just the light conditions when the pic was taken. The one thing I noticed with the 6H9 is that it really "changes" shade in different light conditions :meh:

The 6h9 is really a dark olive. I asked my friend who mixed it if he mixed it right and he assured me it was. Too dark for me, that's why I ultimately chose the breathe green.

nice ...

color. i like the blue/greys myself. i want something to see when i walk away from the vehicle when i am hunting/fishing. those near forrest colors really do me in at times. plus i have liked the blue colors since my early years.

also, i like a little shine to the paint. so the flat colors are out for me, they dont clean up real good after a mud run.

your doing great. keep up the hard work.:clap::clap:

I ordered 2 spray cans of 6H9 enamel from towerpaint. They arrived today and I painted a kick vent. I really like this color. I'll be painting my truck with it.
