that is a difference between tires and driving skill.
interesting to watch. thanks for posting

Its also to do with engine torque. Ths smaller 4cyls dont have the low down torque and need higher revs which causes wheel spin.
Air pressure in the tires can also make a differnce under those conditions

the LJ has 4.90 diff gears to compensate for the less torque...
air pressure deffinately makes a difference on that type of rock, i would say tread pattern plays a part. the HZ looks like it has less agressive tires than the LJ, more fingers = more grip.
fat tread is like trying to climb a wall using your fist.

the hzj71 is mine, my tires had a casually air pressure..the lj70 of my fiend too...
for me the realy difference is a engine torque and factory differential loocker..engaged front and rear..
Lj70 have only a factory lsd rear...
another difference is than i had use a second gear..little lj..only first gear..

P.S. SOrry for a lenguage mistakes but i'm italian..;-)

okay, locked front and rear vs open front and crappy factory LSD...
that explains a lot.

<mind you , i never knew the LJ got a LSD rear diff... interesting. looked it up on the EPC and there it is, learned somethign new today. thanks>

what lenguage mistakes? the posts look just like mine when i re-read them.
