Jason- That thing is gorgeous!!!
so 1500 hours or so.... I need a life..... You could be doing worse things. Everybody should do a total frame off restoration. You learn so much about how a vehicle works

Jason,
Are you going to try this with Wilma?

I'd pay $100 american to see Wilma do that!!!

ha!!If john can only own and drive one land cruiser for a year I will do that with Wilma.

thanks Gary I agree everyone should do a frame off atleast once some of the things I was scaried of i laugh at now and some of the things i should of been scaried to do I did before I knew i should have been scaried of doing it.

Dave you better buy a pig hat I don't have any near term plans to do another run of Teq hats

so I get back from lunch and get an email from my perspective classic car insurer whom I had sent these same pics above too last week.
"
1) Please verify the year of the Land Cruiser. After extensive search I have found that the first Land Cruisers were build in 1965.
2) Photos indicate that the vehicle is in need of restoration. Please advise of the restoration time line in detail.
3) Please advise as to how you established the agreed value of $25,000. My research has provided this value for a #1, show quality condition vehicle?

I am calling her to set her straight.

Jason- Your agent's head will spin when she reads the build thread. I will 100% stick to one cruiser for a year if you do that with Wilma but I get to be in the passenger seat holding the tissue box for you when it goes down.

Dave, we need pooch update

Did not pull the trigger..... as much as we'd like to add another dog when we really start thinking about the puppy rearing time and effort we balk. Our current dog is 10 though so we'll need to address this at some point in the not-so-distant future. Just the idea of house training a puppy with our new kitchen and new carpets (done over the last 3 years) give me shivers. :)

I am glad we are on a new page though, every time I scrolled past that picture my hear melted. So damn cute. :)

Maybe next spring.

Luna, our Lab/golden mix, age 10 she's usually long haired but we shave her down a few times a year.

Heading to NH tonight for the weekend. Can't wait!

Got up early and finished grinding and painting the Blizz this morning. (My neighbors love me.) Also pulled off the crappy running board too. looks much better!

Have a great 4th everybody!!!

Decided to take a vacation day to just bum around the house. Going to a party for the 4th and having friends over tonight for drinks then walk over to the local fireworks.

Washed and waxed the truck today and trying to make some room in the garage for the Cruiser so I can take the top off and not have to put it back on.

I looked directly at the puppy.

Dave, we need pooch update

Dammit
I may have to take back that whole post, I called the people, they still have the chocolate male (our preference) but it was jst hte son home, had no idea how much they were, it's his mom's thing and she's away until tomorrow. So I left my number.

Do it Dave! I had a black lab for 14 years. he went with me everywhere. About the time the wife and i were getting divorced, she said "you like that dog better than you like me" ,I said" he never gives me any s*** and he always loves me'. I got the divorce papers the next week.
