what incredible weather this weekend. :) I've managed a good long walk the last 4 days and spent most of the rest of my time wrenching on the truck.

Good job getting the walks in!
It was a good weekend for wrenching too!

Wow, that's a lot of syrup! How much do you usually average in a season?
Can't wait to see the Red Beast in action this year!

I sugar with my son (we also survey and design septics together). It keeps us busy for about 2 months. I have a freind who taps 24,000 taps on about 300 acres of family land. He is full time year round and has 2 guys working most of the year. He makes about 10,000 gallons. His work week is about 120 hours this time of year. he makes a good living if mother nature cooperates.

How much does a gallon of finished syrup sell for??

The 70 should be here in about 10 days. getting excited! Should have a title for the BJ40 soon and will be selling that on the cheap. Most of the parts from AU are gone or they are leaving soon. The cruiser stars are aligning nicely!

THis has been a wierd day. I got some odd work-related news yesterday so there has been the reactions to that (more on that when I sort it out).

Then today, my birthday, I get 5 invites different to lunch, can't take any of them as Wed. is my noontime carpool day.

Rick calls from Woodstock to get together but I'm already headed to Lyme for the carpool....and I'm weighing in tonight so naturally not eating a whole lot which leaves me cranky....

I need a nap. :)

I wanna take the wife and kid on an easy 4 day vacation down south. Want to stay in the country with a short flight cuz of the 2 year old will be in tow.

Any ideas?? I was thinking Charleston, SC. Any better ideas?? We're not big on over-commercialized places like Disney and most of Florida.

We are in Halifax, Nova Scotia all this week. Spending Colin's 5th birthday with family. Scouting for CDN M101 trailers and of course cruisers.

I agree with nat, but Charleston is great especially if you like history.

Checked the ocean temps in Charleston in April. Captiva Island FL is looking better right now.

Go to Culebra. It's an undiscovered absolutely beautiful island 20 minutes by plane from San Juan, PR. Nothing to do but snorkel and lie on the beach. (well and drink...)

PM me if you want info....
