Welded up the plate for the scout box

We are getting close to the next item on the list. I will setting up the rear axle soon. Then I will start fab on the exhaust and turbo.
 
Is the pitman arm on backwards? I thought on Scout boxes the pitman arm faced the other way.
 
For all you DIY body work folks ,body filler is for filling small dents and scratches not for making body panels. The previous owner of my cruiser did not know this.
 
We used to use it with fiberglass sheet to make entire wheel wells , etc. Plywood also worked well for floorboards caulked in with roofing tar as well. We live in luxury down here with our vehicles:D

Here is the patch the po put in. They used a bondo with fiberglass fibers. Not good.

Now here is the piece I welded in .

Now some grinding with a flap wheel. And all it needs is a little sanding and I a little less plastic in the body.

are you sure you do not want to leave that stuff in? you will be less likely to get a speeding ticket as you might be a bit more stealthy:hillbilly:
