Occasionally at Cow Mtn but mostly just at the mall lately...ha. Where have you been going?

Finally got around to getting the OME caster kit installed and it did fix the caster angle by close to 2º so yeah, the LC handles much better now! We also swapped the front A B coils as recommended by ARB. It did pick up 1" of slack.

The brakes are feeling MUCH better too... Over a 1,000 miles on them now and they have a strong bite and no fade! Love them!! Based on that, I'd say the improvement is well over 50% from the original brakes.

Cool
What is your final castor ?

Why didnt it return your caster to factory +2 to +4?
I find that my steering is light with less than factory
Most suggest + 3 or more

I'm not sure but considering my original caster was at -1.7º there must be something else I'll need to fix in order to get between +2 ~ +4

Im having the OME "+2" degree CC removed tomorrow
Installing "+4 1/2" degree
Will have it checked for castor and report back.

2 1/2" OME LIFT
Med springs front and rear
Icon stage 2 shocks
Installed OME 2 degree cc
Caster became +0.8
Steering was "light"

Removed OME 2 degree ccs
Installed adjustable ccs set to +4 1/2
Caster is now +3.8

Drives great
Will see how the ride is and how they hold up

If you are happy with 1 or 2 degrees of caster, then drive it. Lots of rigs here with between 0-2 degrees and planning on leaving it alone. With big tires and big lift these rigs are not stock anymore. If it works OK them drive it. Excess caster will not make up for increased load and raised CG.

Thanks for the tip! I'm gonna stick to the OME for now, I have other upgrades I need to do first :) Next will be installing a Firestick CB antenna.

Went to Mt. Shasta and ended up doing some rescuing... It was just a couple cars at first then things got worse! People not reading the sign requiring chains, snow tires or 4x4 before continuing on this road!!

Eventually, had to call in the big guns, CHP and several tow truck as a dozen people got stranded in ditches!!! Made some new friends from Australia who had no clue how fresh snow could be this treacherous ah!

Before the CHP could get to us, more people were still driving up but at that point, the road was impassable due to the number of cars stuck in the middle of it!

That's when the pickup with a trailer decided to move back in hopes to make a U-turn I'm guessing... Wrong decision, he stared sliding off the side of the road and into the other pickup truck that was already in the ditch (being rescued) ah!
