Interesting design on the sections that mount on the frame horns. Are those slits alongside the bolt holes to provide some crumple zone? I know the ironman and arb brackets employ a design to similar effect.
That’s my guess since it’s Australian and I believe they crash test all the bumpers. I can’t imagine it doing much—it’s nothing like the Ironman/arb crash stuff. It’s thick af (5mm / 3/16”).

I'm not sure. Those slits aren't nearly long enough to provide much meaningful crumple zone, but the bumper is airbag/impact rated.

My guess was drainage and speeds up production.

How much did you grind off? Where did you have to fish the bolt in? Also, once it wasn't interfering with frame, did you have to adjust for it to be level (like Ironman)?

In this pic, I had to cut off the small wedge that sits where the bumper slots into the frame rail. Marked in red in the pic. It was maybe the size of my thumb. 5 mins with a grinder and both sides were good.

For fishing 2 of the bolts in, they went in the frame rail in the holes in the blue circle. I was able to feed them from above, but then had to get under the truck with a right angle impact and get them tight that way. It's pretty tight under there, but there was just enough room to get my hands and the right angle impact in there.

To get it level on both sides I used a few washers between the bumper and the frame rail, right where the red circle is. I think I used 3? Can't remember the exact number, but it was only on one side.
