Bonjour, je dois démonter les feux arrière de mon BJ40, mais je n'y arrive pas. Avant de forcer et de risquer de tout casser, je voulais savoir s'il ya une agrafe ou quelque chose du genre qui les maintient en place.
Merci.

Hello,
I need to remove the tail lights from my BJ40, but I just can't seem to do it. Before I pull really hard—and risk breaking everything—I wanted to check if there’s a clip or something similar holding them in place.
Thanks.

Being a BJ40 it has the three lens tail lights. To remove the tail light housing you need to remove the four screws and remove the lens. On the place where two ends screws lens are there two more cross head screws. One higher and one lower. Those hold the housing to the rear frame member. Once those are removed the housing should come off. Gasket may be stuck and holding on.

I stopped by today to take some photos.

There is clearly a locking tab in pic #1. You have to press in at the front and then pull the plug apart. There might be a tab on the other side as well. Pocket flat blade screwdriver can help depress the tab(s) so you can pull it apart.

The locking tabs on each side of the plug should be pried outward to allow the connector to come apart. The lock tabs are under the plastic "hoops" and have a slot in them that captures the other half of the connector.

I saw youtube vid with a trick tool for connectors. Found one on eboy for like $3 delivered, has a straight end and a back claw end I think I can afford one. I bought a kit from Amoron ($20) but I'll be darned if I can find it now.
