I don't know if you want stock replacements, but Pep Boys has some lights that look almost identical to the later FJ55 license plate lights. I got some and they fit almost perfect. $10/pair i believe

Is the '79 light assembly different than earlier years?

If not, I thought I remembered someone saying you can still get light assemblies from Toyota
