Tail light wiring on '66

I'm replacing the stock tail lights on my '66 because they are buried by my new bumper/tire carrier. There are only two wires and the wiring diagram that's from back then also shows only two wires. How do you get tail lights, brake lights and turn signal out of two wires? The wiring diagram I have has two trailer sockets that make it impossible to figure out where the wires originate.

That's very similar to the diagram I have. Two wires to each tail light. Oh, it's clearer on the one you have than the one I have. Brake and turn are on the same wire to the rear. My new light can separate them out. Looks like a fair amount of work to make that happen.

How do you get tail lights, brake lights and turn signal out of two wires?

Only requires two wires because the ground is thru the chassis, tail light uses one wire and brake/turn signal share the other.
