Just replaced my original tail lights with aftermarket tail lights. Before replacing the left tail lights would do nothing but the right side worked. Now after replacing the left turn stays on with the left turn signal off and turns off when I turn on the left turn signal but doesn't flash. The right side does absolutely nothing turn signal brake or reverse light. I ordered these tail lights from SOR and had to splice my original connector onto them.

When weird things happens its usually a ground issue. I usually add a ground wire from the fixture housing to the frame if it doesn't have a separate ground. Earlier tail lights were only grounded by the mounting bolts which can be an issue.

Can you explain this in more detail? " I ordered these tail lights from SOR and had to splice my original connector onto them." Why did you have to splice anything? Didn't they come with a connector that should plug straight into your original wiring?

Are you sure you put the wires in the correct position?

The connector it came with didn't work with mine. SOR also tells you will have to splice the original connector onto the new lights.

Just because the wire colors were the same doesn't mean their function was the same. It might require different colors be connected to different color to get the correct function.

Are getting power from the vehicles wiring harness for all the tail lights at the plug?

Congratulations on figuring out the problem and posting your resolution.

The single element bulb should be an 1156 and the dual element bulb for brake/park light is an 1157. If you go to lower wattage bulbs like LED's you can adapt an electronic flasher instead of the stk mechanical one.
