Tail gate install

Looking to install the tail gate. I've installed it on this rig. On the lower three hinges are those through bolts with nuts? I don't see any threads similar to the spare tire holder. I've read where some people install rivet nuts? Seeking advice...

I'm also looking for the two hooks on the top and a chain set.
 
What year 40? I think @cruisermatt sells plates that go behind the rear sill for the hinges. I'll be making my own along with some other hardware. I'm in the process of making and adapting a tailgate for my 75 40 using barn doors. I've done a lot of searching on this site with decent results. There is a vendor that makes aftermarket latching hooks, or watch and put a wanted ad in the classified section, or make them yourself. I don't recall the vendors name. I've taken a deep dive into searching for tailgate info and dimensions on this site so i can make one look similar to stk. You'll have to source used chains. Stock tailgate hardware can get pretty pricey.

It's a 1980 BJ41...working to get it back on the road. I'm just starting to research like you. Thanks for the advice, I'll post in the wanted section.
 
Heres a thread I found, i think it has links in it too. @spotcruiser has several post about the tailgate he made. Someplace I think GA architect or it could be someone else has a pic of all the bolt hole locations on the tailgate itself. I've found dimensions for the hinges too. The hooks for the latches have a different bolt pattern than the amby door hinges. I had to fill snd drill. Fyi.

Thread 'OEM Drop down tailgate- need template'

I'm looking to get the measurements for the hinge and clasp holes for the OEM tailgate so I can put in the proper backing for the factory latches and hinges.
I have the inner and outer panels fabbed up and need to get the holes in the right spots.
I originally was just going to make a bolt in panel but now can't help but take it to the next level. A set of beat fold out doors were used for construction.
If someone could get me an exact measurement of all the holes or even rub a real tailgate with a pencil on some vellum or tracing paper I would pay for the postage. TIA

I have the basic frame made up and I'm slowly working on the hinges.
