Tacoma vs Tundra?

The Tundra is a very good truck but I think is too big and not functional at all. Spend a lot of gas, is a problem for parking, etc.

Cheers

It all depends on your needs. I just turned over 100,000 miles on my 5.7L 2007 Tundra. I tow 7,000 pounds (3tons gravel and dump trailer) atleast once a week, if not more often than that. It isn't easy on the gas, but it has been reliable except for a starter, brake pads, and gas...lots and lots of gas. It turns better than the ford and chevy that it replaced.

I would've gone with a tacoma, but they just don't have the towing capacity that I need.

I agree the tundra's are too huge and ugly and you'd need to be towing or working heavy construction a Lot to really make it worth it, in my opinion....
Put a shell on the back of your taco. Even a 4x4 van, Lots of people room :)

i have 2 tundras, love them, they are big yes but with a lift they look great, i have a dc and cm. ones stock, and ones 3/1 lifted, there great trucks but dont expect to go climb rocks in it, like in the taco

Family space is number one priority, so it seems you need a bigger rig. I sold my DC Taco for the same reason and bought a 100-series Land Cruiser. It has been just as capable as the Tacoma off-road (I do more overland expeditions), and there is plenty of room now. Also, it's so much more comfortable.

I do miss having a truck, so I'm looking at 01-04 Tacoma's now for myself (wife will drive the 100). My father has a 08 Tundra and it's also very nice. I'd have no problems driving one. It is pretty long, though, but depending on what kind of off roading you do, that may not be an issue.
